ABOUT US
Mission
Our Mission is to provide education, support, and advocacy both within and outside of the transgender community. We are here to assist this community so that those on the transgender and gender non-conforming spectrum will have support. We are also here to provide information and education to any LGBT groups, trans allies, professional services and businesses that support our community. We are doing this in hopes of growing and nurturing this organization for those who are here now and those who will come after us.

Support
Being Transgender or gender non-conforming can be lonely and isolating. Many of us have felt at some time that we were alone, and there was no one with whom we could share our true selves. Although the internet now made it easier to find kindred spirits, there is still no substitute for meeting other transgender and gender non-conforming people in person. Being transgender or gender non-conforming has it’s own special subset of experiences and support needs. We exist to provide an end to isolation, and access to necessary resources in the Binghamton and Southern Tier area.

Outreach
Our members reach out to the greater community in many ways. We have been part of Pride events, and served on LGBT committees, in churches, and on panels in the community. Some of our members are openly known as transgender within the community, and carry the title with pride.

Resources
We currently have a closet with donated clothing for those in the trans community who need it, and can help with finding gender-affirming care, shelters, and assisting with other needs. We can provide safe, confidential, and gender-affirming STI testing, for HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, & Chlamydia.
We also have resources for education, and can assist with the basics of how HRT works, and how to legally change one’s name and gender marker.
